Series: Grimbaud Book 1
Age range: +12
Love is real in the town of Grimbaud and Fallon Dupree has dreamed of attending high school there for years. After all, generations of Dupree’s have successfully followed the (100% accurate!) love fortunes from Zita’s famous Love Charms Shop to happily marry their high school sweethearts. It’s a tradition. So she is both stunned and devastated when her fortune states that she will NEVER find love.
Fortunately, Fallon isn’t the only student with a terrible love fortune, and a rebellion is brewing. Fallon is determined to take control of her own fate―even if it means working with a notorious heartbreaker like Sebastian.
Will Fallon and Sebastian be able to overthrow Zita’s tyranny and fall in love?
It was a cute love story with magic, mystery, adventure and romance! I loved the main characters : Fallon and Sebastian. I’m not going to give it all away because you need to read it for yourself. I did like the other characters in this story and how the adventure went down was pretty cool. I do have to admit it was a little slow in places but towards the end was awesome.

What it is about:
As Michael’s eyes lit on a female not twenty feet away, he knew without a doubt that it was her blood that called to him and her scent that had awakened him. This female had tethered his soul and returned it to him.
He is the last of his race. The one true king of the vampires. Michael Aristov roams the nightclubs of L.A. after dark, haunted by his past and driven by his hunger. Nothing in this world can fulfill his needs…until he meets a woman who’s everything he’s ever wanted. And more.
Her name is Claire Thompson. Her blood is so sweet, so intoxicating―the smell alone draws Michael to her like a moth to the flame. Sly, sexy, and seductive, Claire seems to be the only mortal who can satisfy his craving and seal his fate…forever. Can she be trusted? From their very first kiss, the last true vampire sweeps Claire into a world in which darkness rules desire―and where falling in love is the greatest danger of all…in The Last True Vampire by Kate Baxter.

It was a fun read but it just did not stay with me that much. It did have vampires in it so that was good. I will still keep this author on my radar to read!

For nearly six hundred years, Vlad Tepesh cared for nothing, so he had nothing to lose. His brutal reputation ensured that all but the most foolhardy stayed away. Now, falling in love with Leila has put him at the mercy of his passions. And one adversary has found a devastating way to use Vlad’s new bride against him.
A powerful spell links Leila to the necromancer Mircea. If he suffers or dies, so does she. Magic is forbidden to vampires, so Vlad and Leila enlist an unlikely guide as they search for a way to break the spell. But an ancient enemy lies in wait, capable of turning Vlad and Leila’s closest friends against them . . . and finally tearing the lovers apart forever.
I have read all the other books in this series and this one did not disappoint! I loved it. Adventure, magic and vampires! It picked off from ‘Bound By Flames.’ It was a nice way to end it.

Marius is desperate to find the woman whose kiss turned into attempted murder, hunting for the mysterious assassin he can’t push out of his mind. But what he uncovers could change the course of his life forever…
This was a different take on a fairytale with vampires in it! I loved this book quite a bit. I saw on Twitter of the second book coming out so I decided to give the first one a go! It was a fast paced book. The book also had variety of moments: adventures, steamy touches and playful banter between the two main characters, Marius and Arabelle. I liked how both characters were strong and yet had sweet moments as well showing off vulnerability. I’m not going to give all the information away because I want you to go get it.
